They are very well known for their howl, they use this to communicate either to their pack or from one pack to another. They are the largest members of the dog family. Gray wolves are the most common. They hardly ever attack humans, but they do prey on domestic animals. They live and hunt in packs of 6-10 and can roam up to 12 miles in just one day. They can eat up to 20 lbs of meat in one sitting.
