DESCRIPTION

They are the largest mammals on earth being a little smaller than their African counterparts. Their ears are smaller and their skin is a little smoother than African elephants. They are also a little easier to tame than African elephants. After they spray themselves with water they often spray their skin with dust to protect themselves. They have one finger like feature and the end of their trunks to help them grab smaller items (African elephants have two of these). Female elephants tend to roam in herds with their young, while male elephants are more solitary.
